Uwe Henneken's creations seem to evoke a sense of mystery and contemplation, inviting viewers to interpret and explore the deeper meanings within his imaginative scenes.  

While in Hennekens early works lonesome figures, roam through illustrious, Arcadian-likelandscapes, set in lush and rich colors, where he depicts seekers, who themselves seem to have forgotten what they were looking for or what went missing, he later on proceeds into vibrant soulscapes seemingly stepping with each and every painting more and more from seeking to finding.

His practice is marked by a continuous and ever changing flow of styles and motifs, being connected to profound questions of arduous journeys of introspection and extrospection.

He, and therefore his imagery, is in search of deeper meaning, dwelling in and bringing forth different stages of consciousness and allowing the viewer to step in the artist’s vision of inner and outer otherworldliness.
