The Vancouver born solo aritst is known for being particular about more than just food. And, since he can’t handle anything not being exactly to his liking, he simply does everything himslef. Vice is entirely self produced and for the most part he engineers his own sessions.
He maintains , “ninety five percent of the time, I’m all by myself in [the studio]”
His father, a Painter and his mother, a University Proffesor, there were two constants throughout Vice’s youth, art and education.
While he dabbled in several visual mediums, Vice’s love for music - and his natural ability - made sure that he ended up the recording studio. As for his education, Vice earned an honors degree in philosophy from UBC. And, unlike his college panning peers in the industry, he’ll tell you, “it was the best thing [he] ever did.”
